Ports of Call

Saipan, Mariana Islands

Saipan is a mere 14 miles long and five miles wide. The island's interior is rugged and mountainous, with an eastern shore that is dominated by dramatic cliffs. Here you can experience a unique blend of World War II history and tropical beauty as you float on placid turquoise seas in the Northern Mariana Islands.

American Memorial Park

This park is the site of two memorials that honor the American servicemen who died during the battle for Saipan.

Chalan Kanoa Invasion Beaches

Elements of the 2nd and 4th Marine Divisions stormed the beaches in 1944. A nearby memorial honors the U.S. Army's 27th Division, which also took part in the battle.

Isley Airfield

Once a base for American B29 bombers attacking Japan, the airfield is now Saipan's International Airport.
